My Mission
Challenge is inevitable. By virtue of being human, we will all experience things that hurt us, scare us, make us sad, or otherwise make things hard for us. There will be much good too. But some amount of pain and hardship are unavoidable.
When facing adversity, we generally assume we have two options: Beat it… or get beaten by it. But I discovered a third option. A way of engaging with challenges that does more than get us through. It helps us soar. My experience led me to codify this new approach to adversity. I call it the Shero’s Way™. And I have dedicated myself to helping those whose lives – like mine – have been turned upside down by trauma or challenging circumstances.
In my own life, I’ve seen what’s possible in such circumstances. The magic they can bring. And I want us all to have access to that. It breaks my heart to see people only surviving, when they could be thriving.
Simply, my mission is to change the way we relate to adversity in order to harness it as a catalyst for transformation. So we can become, each of us, our own Shero. To move beyond getting back to good, so we can be instead really great. To become bigger, braver and bolder than we’ve been before.
So we can shine.
